Why We Do It
Poko is an Irish skincare brand with a focus on supporting skin from the inside-out. Founded in 2019 by Justine O'Hanlon, Poko was born out of her own struggle with PCOS, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, and the impact it had on her skin. PCOS is a hormonal condition that affects 1 in 5 women in Ireland, and 1 in 10 globally.
Today, Poko offers a range of 12 skincare products and 4 supplements that target conditions like acne, rosacea, psoriasis, and more by supporting the crucial link between our hormones, gut, and skin.
“I tried everything my doctor gave me, convincing myself the next cream would be the one, which was never the case. The contraceptive pill helped me manage my symptoms for a long time, but I didn’t want to use this forever and when I came off it, my acne flared up again.”
